I will stamp all over 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really happening.
